Hey everyone. It's just another day and I'm here with another post! As far as I can remember this is my third article on android. If you missed the awesome post on "Android Hidden Secret Codes", just take a glance at it. Anyway back to this one. Today's topic is probably a little bit similar to the previous one. It's about Android Top 8 Must Know Secret Features. All of these secrets are dug out of mines. Believe me — you'll love it. Besides as per as our policy, you'll gain the power to show your awesomeness to your friends and cousins. So let's clear all the clutters and begin our countdown.
8. Cool Wi-Fi Options:
As you know, Wi-Fi is one of the coolest features of a smart phone. And it is needless to say about its function! But you might not know that there are advanced settings through which you can customize your wi-fi. All you have to do is go to Settings > Wireless and Network Settings > Wi-Fi Settings. And then from the Menu go to Advanced for additional cool stuffs like Wi-Fi Sleep Policy, MAC address, Proxy, Static IP etc. See the following screenshot for a clearer idea.7. See the Date Instantly from Anywhere:
Suppose you're filling out a form, and need to see the currently date instantly? Going back again and opening the calendar for this little stuff is annoying. Here's what you can do. Just tap the notification bar or simply open it. You'll get the date at the top of your screen. See the following picture.6. Reject Calls Easily:
To reject your call you have to get your phone out of the pocket and cut it. In meetings it gets awful sometimes. Here is an easier way to do that. By this process you can reject calls by pressing the power button only! To activate this go to Settings > Accessibility and then enable 'Power Key Ends Call'. Easy, no?5. Find Contacts Quicker:
The default way to find someone's contact number is to go to the contacts and search by name which is a little lengthy process. So try this little trick to find it rapidly. Open dial pad (where you type numbers to call). See carefully, you'll observe 3/4 English letters beside all the numbers except '1'. Right? Okay, now suppose you wanna find one friend's number whose name is Dev. To do so, type 338 and you'll get the contact suggestion. Click on it, and the number's on the pad! Here 3 is for D, E and 8 for V. This is a mind blowing feature. Look at the screenshot bellow.4. Hide Folder/Files without Additional Software:
You might have installed heavy-weight apps to hide important stuffs. Well you won't need any of them to do so. I've already written a post on this topic. Just navigate to the following link to read it.3. Better Battery Stats:
You can see your battery statistics by going to Settings > About > Battery Use. It'll show you few stats about battery usage. But if you want a full view of your cell usage. Just tap the little graph on the top of your screen at Battery Use. Refer to the following screenshot for a better understanding.
2. Snap A Screenshot:
Did you know that you can capture a screenshot in your android cell phone? Well now you'll know. If you own a galaxy phone then just press Home key (hold it), and then press Power button. Done! If it does not work, try this shortcut — Back+Menu.
In ICS (Icecream Sandwitch) and other and other android devices screenshot can be captured either by hitting Power + Volume Down button or by swiping the finger slowly from left to right.
1. See Android Easter Eggs:
This is my favorite android secret. Android hides its Easter eggs in a place you won't expect it to be! All android versions have its own art. To view it just go to the Settings > About and continuously tap the 'Android Version' until it displays a picture. Here's the screenshot of it. I've used Android 2.3 Gingerbread version.
Hope you enjoyed reading the article. Now go and try all of them. May be that you already knew the features, but your friends might not! So share this article amongst your friends and let them know it too. Respect all goats. #Peace.
