Make Your Computer Speak and Welcome You!

computer-welcomes-thumb

Howdy! What's up guys? I'm back again with a new Windows Tutorial. You can rather call it a trick. Have you seen those "Awesome Blowsome Super Computers" in Hollywood movies that speak with the hero and sometimes welcome the hero when he opens the computer? Didn't you think, "Wish I could be someone like those hackers"? I'm not sure, whether you can be a hacker, but I can assure to give you that amazing "hacker-typo" feeling. Okay so leave all those talks and let's begin our tutorial to make your computer speak on the pc's start up.

Things You're Gonna Need:
  • A Working Computer.
  • A Text Editor e.g. Notepad.
  • A Brain
  • A Holy Goat (optional)
 I've Got All, Now What?
Now start your PC (just kidding). Open Notepad and copy the following code in notepad
Dim speaks, speech
speaks="Anything you want it to speak"
Set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
speech.Speak speaks
After Pasting it on notepad, an additional line will be added like —"See more at: http://tech-a-brel.blogs....". Remove that line in order to make this trick possible. Now save that file with .vbs extension (i.e. anything.vbs). If you open that file (by double clicking!), you will be able to listen whatever you typed. Next to play it on Startup, copy that file and paste in the Startup folder. In Windows 7 or Windows 8, the startup folder is located in "C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup". Alternatively, you can drag the file to "Start > All Programs > Startup". In Windows XP the Startup folder lies at "C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup". As per as the time is concerned, I don't think you might be using Windows 2000!

Tips and Warnings:
  • You can put any other files on Startup folder to make it play on Startup.
  • Do not put any virus affected file on the Startup folder, this file may damage you computer.
  • Always create a system restore point before playing around these stuffs (to avoid suffering at later times)!
  • Do not put bad stuffs (you know what I'm talking about) on Startup folder. This won't damage your computer, but ruin your gentlemanity at public places.
Lastly, go and play around idea to make this experiment more attractive and comment the ideas bellow. For any queries ask me in comments or in Google+. Keep Respecting the Holy Goat. Keep Eating. #Peace

Powered by Blogger Attribution — How to Remove it From Your Blog?

Is that 3 word clutter making your blood boil? Then why u no remove it?  Last week I wrote a tutorial on removing the navigation bar in blogger blogs, which too, is nothing but a mess to your blog. In this post I'm gonna help you removing the 'Powered by Blogger' attribution from the footer section of your blog. In default templates and some of the custom templates, the attribution stay locked at a fixed position which is really infuriating. You can't move it, you can't delete and you go mad about that crap. Chillax, cool up your brain, and read this post. It's all up here. Now there a question comes that — Is it legal to remove the attribution from a blog? Because, it's kind of right of Blogger to place that stuff. Isn't it? Here's a way to deal with it. If you're using a custom template, then there must be a space in the footer to display the template maker's credits, right? In that space, beside the credits, you can place a link
